Winnaess specialized in brooches, bracelets, pendants and earrings, often with motifs inspired by leaves, flowers, insects and animals which draws threads back to the Art Nouveau era.

A characteristic style was the use of guilloché and basse-taille enamel, with shiny colours such as white, yellow, red and blue overlaid on gilt or sterling silver.
