FROM STABLE TO HOUSING, 2014
With a strong focus on aesthetics and sustainability this project is a frontrunner in how we can use our masses of existing buildings.
The
stable was build in 1970 and contained goats, sheep, donkeys and poultry until 2010.
The project is made with a strong dedication to recycling and utilization of old building materials. It is a low-cost but spatially generous and partially energy self-sufficient home with electricity from sun cells, paper wool insulation,
rainwater recycling used in toilet and washingmashine,
reused Tectum kitchen, doors from Nordea headquarters,
IFÖ bathroom interior from the 60s , wooden floors from several old villas, vintage furniture and lamps.
